Aeonium Caring Tips

Read the general succulent care info here.

🪴Light: Aeoniums thrive in bright, direct light. Place them near a window where they can receive several hours of sunlight each day. For outdoors, place aeoniums in a location with partial sun to partial shade. They like direct sunlight, but too much direct light can cause sunburn or heat stress, especially in hot climates.

🪴Watering: Aeoniums are drought-tolerant succulents, so it's important not to overwater them. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings, and then water thoroughly, ensuring excess water drains away. In the winter months or during dormancy, water sparingly.

🪴Potting: Good drainage is key for aeoniums. Use a pot that has a drainage hole and plant the aeonium using succulent potting mix.

🪴Temperature and Humidity: Aeoniums prefer moderate temperatures between 65°F to 75°F (18°C to 24°C). They can tolerate higher temperatures but may become dormant in extreme heat. Avoid exposing them to temperatures below 50°F (10°C), as they are sensitive to frost. Average indoor humidity levels are generally suitable for aeoniums.
